Why can’t I see my customised my invite on the website?

All our invites are specifically built with design in mind. Unlike the ‘cookie cutter’ invite websites with customisation tools, our invites are unique to each client and require a designer to personally adjust the fonts and layout for a professional finish.

How will I see my personalised invite?

Once purchased, we will send you a ‘proof copy’ of your invite via email. We offer one round of corrections on the proof copy, any further corrections after the proof copy will be subject to a fee.

Can you proof-read my order?

Sorry, all matters of spelling, grammar, punctuation and etiquette remains solely your responsibility. We encourage all customers to thoroughly check the information supplied to us via the checkout form before purchasing.

Can I personalise the save the dates or wedding invites with guest names?

You cannot currently customise the our designs to address them. We feel it makes less work for extremely busy brides and grooms! However, if you really wish to write guest names we can work together to incorporate a dotted line or space into the design for this purpose.

How do I send you my guest names for the place name cards and seating plan cards?

After placing your order simply reply to your confirmation email with the list of guest names and their table numbers.

How do I send you my photo to personalise my invite?

After placing your order simply reply to your confirmation email with your high resolution photo.

Help, I spelt something wrong! What happens now?

Contact us, ASAP, if your order has not yet been personalised, we will do our very very best to help you. Officially, all matters of spelling, grammar, punctuation fall on your shoulders, but if you've placed your order and then noticed an error, it's worth getting in touch to see if anything can be done.

How will you send me my printable PDFs?

Once the proof copy has been signed off we'll send you a link via email to download the complete, high resolution, print-ready PDF package. The package will include your personalised save the date/wedding invitation bundle/on the day bundle and a handover leaflet with instructions on what to give your chosen printer or advice on how to print at home. The design is yours, so you can print as many as you like!

My invite doesn’t look like what I see on-screen, what’s happened?

All computer screens and printers are different so colours you see on-screen may not exactly match what you print out. When you receive your first proof copy it out on your printer—if the colours don't look right let us know, and we will try to tweak the colours for your final PDF, though it may not be possible to exactly match your printouts with what you see on-screen.

How do I print my own invites?

Our ‘Print-Your-Own’ service offers some great benefits – it’s affordable, instant and globally accessible. You can choose to print from home, or approach a local printing company to work with. PDFs are high resolution and compatible with most digital print supplier processes. We send a handover leaflet with instructions to help with both printing at home or printing at your local printers/office supplies store.

How can I get my design to a local print company?

Easy! As soon as you've approved your proof copy, you'll be sent an email with links to download your designs. You can forward this email straight to a printing company/office supplies print desk and when they click the download button, they'll have everything they need. Alternatively you may download and save your design and upload it via the web, send it via a file-transfer website (such as wetransfer.com), or save it to a USB/memory stick or on a CD.

How do I know if my printer can print card stock?

Standard A4 paper is around 90gsm, which means the kind of thickness you need to print a more substantial card is thicker. However, not all printers facilitate card and those that do, vary. You’ll also need to consider whether your printer bends the card as it prints. Rear-feeding printers will be best for printing invites as they do not bend when they print. Before buying custom paper and card sizes, we recommend you check your printer’s specifications to see if the printer can handle the thickness you want to print. The specifications may be in a separate “Specifications” document or in the manual. Please also see our printing troubleshoot handover leaflet which will give you tips on how to set up your home printer.

What is paper GSM?

GSM or Grammes Per Square Metre is the measurement used when weighing paper sheet sizes. Although any weight of paper can be used for any printed item, there are generally a few unwritten guidelines we follow in order to make sure the finished product is suitable for its purpose.

For example, if you printed an invite onto a low-gsm paper it will feel flimsy and would not do your invite justice. On the other hand, high-gsm paper stock feels good quality but too heavy and you’ll find it difficult to package into an envelope. For further information or to get an idea of thickness we recommend going to your local stationery store to see and feel the paper thicknesses.

We recommend printing our invites on 200 - 260gsm card stock, however you may wish to go lighter with your invites. It’s firmly in your control. Remember: anything from 160gsm is considered card.

If your home printer does not support card stock, we recommend visiting your local printer/office supplies store (staples/office works) for reasonable printing prices.

What is printing single-sided and double-sided?

We offer two types of invitations; single-sided or double-sided. Single-sided invites only have the design on the front of the card, with the back left blank. Double-sided invites have the design printed on the front and matching design the back of the card. Please note: double-sided invites may cost more to print at the printers.

Are there any other options to send my invites?

For the tech-savvy brides and grooms, you can easily attach your invite to/embed in an email to send to all of your guests. Just let us know this is what you want to do and we’ll change the spec to suit in inboxes. Have a wedding website? Why not make your invite the cover page or create a specific page for your invite.
